Folded to me on the button everyone seems to be playing pretty well no one out of line. I had given some walks in the SB so I hadnt been taking what is percieved as all my shove spots. Standard shove here all day? (its a 6max with only 4 at the table)

I ship that all day, on the off chance they wake up it plays well against their calling range, plus the SB is going to be probably calling pretty tight with his 18bb stack, the BB is about the same as you, but is still folding most of the time.  I think this is a much better hand to ship here than say K2o or Q6o.  Never completely dominated.  Would like to hear what one of the pros has to say though.

I think you can find a better spot to shove 9bb with 6 high

Looks good to me.  You’ll get a lot of folds and you have good equity if called.  Chances of someone having a monster are small.

Well I did run into QQ which sucks but I just wanted confirmation that shoving in this spot is +EV.

I wouldn’t look at it as 6 high here.

You hold a hand that can flop well and plays well against many hands that will call it such as AT, KQ, etc.

Unless your opponent has a 77+ you are almost never dominated here and the fact that the big blind has a similar chip stack means he should not be calling too wide as losing the hand ends his tournament.

I like that what everyone is saying here and it brings up another interesting hand I had. Short stacked and its folded to me on the button I have T8s and I shoved and get called by the BB who had AQ and I out flopped the guy.  He went off saying I was a donk for shoving that hand. I said I shoved with it I didnt call. He said that didnt matter it was a horrible play, I said well if you dont understand why thats a shove then you sir are the donkey.

this shove is definitely +EV.

i can’t speak on your T8s shove without knowing your stack and the blinds+antes–but just because you are short and your hand is pretty does not mean that a shove is +EV. but i do know that regardless of how bad a thrashing you are getting in the chat you are way better off ignoring it and just moving on. there’s really no reason to tap the glass and give free lessons.
