Not sure why Ante’s didnt come through, but ante is at 600 with blinds of 2500/5000

At this point there are 150 players left from a field of 7608 and I am somewhere in the top 20 in chips. I played pretty solid poker to get here imo, but I won’t lie I was tilting going into this hand. I had just been sucked out on after being dealt AA vs KK. Normally I raise this hand pre – but this player has been three-betting me every time so I decided to try and see a flop.

Would appreciate comments on how you think this hand is best played – and then if for some whacky reason you did decide to be bad at poker and limp pre, how would you react in this spot to the raise?

Really liking the site so far, thanks for any feedback.

Certainly with your stack I think you should still be raising here, despite the history of 3bets.

As played, I would not hate putting in a raise here.  He’s shown aggression towards you in some past hands.  Now you limp in, and it could look like you limped a monster.

That being said you have to be prepared for what your plan is if he flats or raises again.

I raise-4bet shove vs. most decent players here.

As played, as nitty as it seems, I think I just fold.  Stacks are pretty awkward going forward, shoving seems kind of gross, 3bet folding seems spewy, 3b calling seems worse, flatting leaves us OOP and we c/f a lot of flops, and we don’t really get it in as a huge favorite all that often.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Honestly, the way this guy had been pushing me around I think the outcome I got was inevitable. I was already tilting, so when he raised me once again I got frustrated and shoved – I think this is almost the worst way I could have played the hand.

However, had I simply raised, he would definately 3-bet me and I would probably have given him no credit due to our history and shoved on him.

End result is he had JJ and that was the end of my tournie. I still hate the way I played the hand, but I think with this history I’m 4-bet shoving in this spot a lot. If it were any other player at the table it would likely have been an easy fold.
