Ok I am getting 2 to 1…..Honestly though I do not think I have a 33% chance to win this hand….What do you guys think?

What range you put this guy on? He is new to table for about 10 hands, he has been very quiet, just playing his hands in the blinds.

My thought is JJ+, AK.

I am going to throw that into pokerstove and see what it is. I honestly don’t think its good enough to call, what u guys think?

you have 36% equity vs. QQ+/AK, and it’s a $2 tourney, so he’s probably wider than that.  As played, it’s a call given those ranges, but I think 4betting here is whack, and for a few reasons.  By 4betting, you are:

-giving him a chance to fold hands that you dominate (AJ-, TT-, god forbid KJ-)

-inflating the pot when he has something better than JJ, as in QQ-AA, which he is never ever folding.

-make you think about folding JJ when he has a hand that you have good equity against (AK, AQ, 99,TT,JJ, bluffs?)

so essentially, he can play almost perfectly against you if he has half a brain.

He’s giving you a great price when he clicks it back to you as a 3bet, and has defined his hand pretty well (though there is another dude in the pot, so meh), which makes me want to flat and play postflop in position.

Why are you 4 betting if you are planning to fold? If you are folding to a shove then your 4bet becomes a bluff because you are planning to fold so you are 4betting with ATC with that line.

Also you could make it 1100-1200 preflop and 4bet to 3600-3800, that will give you a better price on the shove.
