WSOP $365 circuit event day 2

We are about 1 hour into the money.  Do not remember how many were remaining at this point.

Moved to the table about 20 minutes ago.  Minimal reads on opponents.  8 handed I believe

BB Villain is 30’ish guy with table large stack over 300k.  Seems a little bit splashy pre flop but smart post flop.

Button is 40’ish guy seems average he covers me has about 170k

I am Btn +3 50 year old guy

They both cover me.  I have 129k after ante 21bb stack.  Blinds 1000 3000 6000

Folds to me I have AQo raise to 15000 which is slightly on high side for the table. Most are raising 12-14k with occasional outlier.

Button thinks only for a moment then calls.  BB calls quickly.

Flop Qc T? 8c.  My ace is not a club.  BB checks after only a moments hesitation. BTN sits up slightly straighter upon seeing the flop.

I have 114k remaining.  The pot is 56k.

Should I jam or bet smaller with plan to jam unthreatening turn?  Against 2 opponents and with wet board I elected to Jam.

Anything you would recommend doing differently?

Pretty standard spot imo.  I think I might lead out for 40-45k hoping to induce a semi bluff jam by one of them.  Fwiw I probably am committed to this hand regardless of what the turn is.

Tightly, thanks for your response.  I am a unclear on what you mean.

You say it is a standard spot, yet you say you “might” lead out for 40 – 45k instead of jamming.

That was the basis of my question.  Would the experts here recommend I jam or bet smaller?  If they are close in equity my personal preference is to jam in this situation.

If it is clearly superior to bet smaller, or if I am making any mistakes I would like to know.

I joined the site and posted to the forum so I can improve my decision making so any expert advice is appreciated.

I think it’s interesting that you’re not even considering checking here, given the following facts:

1. Your stack size is perfect for a check-jam on flop versus a bet of ~half pot, but way too big to jam flop without being face-up.

2. You have reason to believe the BTN is somewhat strong on the flop, increasing the likelihood of them betting when you check.

3. The BB is still in the hand, and some % of the time the BTN will bet and the BB will call, giving you an extra portion of dead money to win by check-jamming.

4. The board is dynamic enough that it’s to your advantage to increase the frequency with which you get all-in on the flop – if you bet, it’s still likely you get called some frequency and then the turn can still come a bad card.

I think c/jam is by far the best line here. If it does check around then you can be very confident in your hand on most turn cards, with the exception of a J or a 9, and you’re no longer forced to make decisions for stacks very often. If BTN does bet then you know you’re getting it all-in against lots of worse hands, and if the BTN bets and the BB raises, you might be able to make a hero fold based on live reads.

I really dislike shoving the flop. It just screams “I have a value hand and I’m scared of a bad turn card”, and you wouldn’t do it as a bluff (presumably) so it’s really unbalanced. Betting is fine, but c/r is better.
