I'm not a very math person, but I feel like I should call with ATs+, AJ+, 66+. His range is farely wide and you are to comitted. I thinl this is an OK range to call him down. I am also curious about other oppinions.

What did you and him had, anyway?

Obviously it really depends on his 4bet range. Is he 4betting a merged range (55+, ATo+, A8s+, KQ…) or does he have a polarized range with some bluffs in it (hands la A2, K6s, 97s, etc…).

The range Andrei gives is pretty standard I guess but it may change if his range is polarized or merged, need some showdowns to have a better idea. This range also changes with history and dynamics.

If he is 4betting a lot and you want to avoid a tough decision you can also jam preflop, it's pretty big but against an agressive opponent it's sometimes the best solution to avoid him 4betting you (it would be better if BB was shorter)

I think with the range you are putting him on, probably about 22+, ATs+, AJ+, QKs.  Personally, I would be closer to Andrei's range based on the HUD stats, though.

Yep, he might have a slightly more merged range, but he also knows that you have 2:1 for the call and it's for less of half of your stack, so this might titghten your range a little bit more. Weird spot, anyways…

well, i get 1.72:1 on my call. means i need 37%

i would assume he shoves 22+,Axs+,A7o+, KJs+, QJs, JTs, T9s

Based on your assumptions, even T9o is close for the call. Axs+, KTo+, K7s+, A7o+, 22+, K7s+,  Q8s+, QTo+, J8s+, JTo+, T8s+ should be your calling range, but it should be a little bit tighter if you think you have an edge over the table and you are close to the FT. In this case, foget about calling with J8. If life is tough on that table, just call with the bottom of this range. I am so curious of that hand. Can't wait to tell us, but we can still enjoy the thrill of not knowing, and I am also curious of other oppinions.

I want to add that if it feels like a hard table, I would consider even a call with 56s, given the shoving range that you indicated. You have a 36.5% equity vs his range… not that bad 😉
