Taking a standard situation I face:
Looking at my stack and the various stacks in front. What would be your overall considerations for opening from utg/mp/mp? What is your std opening range with antes?
How do those considerations and ranges change as we go from mp2 – co?
In this hand I want to open, but my lack of tourney experience makes me wonder if it is profitable.
Again forgive i’m being too general. The cards themselves could be T9hh or J9cc. Middling suited hands that I want to play, but I am unsure as to whether at these stacks I should expect people to shove over light or 3bet bluff. In short are they profitable opens? Also, at what portion of my stack would I be forced to call a jam?
Thanks

Whats the blinds at? Because you have 3 guys who have small stacks and they may be very inclined to shove and depending on the blind size you may have to call.  Also whats your image like and whats your read on the table?   How close are you to the money/bubble? If you watch Bigdogs videos you will see he opens certain hands on one table yet folds them on another based on the action at the table. You will see him 3bet from the button with 39o and you will see him ship from the Sb vs a button open with A9o when he has 30+bb. So I dont think there is a range you want to be looking for, you play the situation given the information at hand.  Casey also likes to raise a wider range UTG than most but if the table is 3betting often he will tell you to either play more tight or 4bet lighter.  Watch the videos and ou will start to get an idea of his game and how he feels about stack sizes etc.  Also its amazing to see that he does not use any HUD he just goes by what he observed, he is like yodaSmile

Blinds 500/250/50 (FYI: On weaktight The blinds are in the coloured part above preflop cards). Not sure on my image. i think i am probably looser than most regs, but I am not out of line or hadn’t done anything fishy as far as I can remember. I am not sure where I am in relation to the money/bubble. I guess these are the beginning questions I should be asking. Ty. I have been watching lots of videos. I am getting some understanding, but not all of it. I am about to watch some more now that I have played some MTTs and faced the similar situations. Thanks again for replying.

can you just post the hand history in plain text?

I’m so confused by all these HH converters.
