Right now I am playing in a $4.40 8 max tourney. The blinds are 500/1000 125 ante. What is the most effective way to play this stack? Should I be open shoving? It’s 3 people with under 15BB sitting at my table. One to my left the other two to my right.

Thanks

I usually play that stack cautiously because you don’t have enough to really 3 bet/fold and you aren’t short enough to make restealing light profitable.

Definitely open in late position agianst the weaker players, and raise your good hands but fold marginal stuff like low Aces and small pairs from EP – things that don’t play well post flop.

Your opening range should be getting tighter. But your stack is perfect for 3 bet shoves.

every decsion you make at this point will be for your stack !!! you need to be looking for soild spots to jam. a good foundation on icm really helps here. very important to maintain your fe at this point and good hands to open hoping to get reshoved on or squeezed when u have a premuim. because you should never be raise folding this stack size and hands to 3 bet reshove hands that flop well ect almost anything playable i dont like my stack getting much smaller.very important to not miss any spots at this point, this is for the 15 bbs if u had 28,828= 27 bbish  im def opening late postion. still looking for key spots and looking to pound on the tighter players ect , 27 bbs huge key is watch your bet sizing really important. i watch so many players stick there arm out there with there pre bets and they end up getting it chopped off , when opening i like 2.5 x this is just me but i see so many put to much in the pot then they really can fold ect , and i think 27bbs you can raise fold.
