This is the FTOPS $240+16 6max KO.

It’s early and I don’t have any reads on villain. Pot seems to be his go-to bet size, but I haven’t seen him show down anything so I don’t really know if it means anything.

Thoughts on flop and turn? Anyone fold the river?

I also think that fact that he 3-barreled into him just shows how he can’t be good. Plus the villian here is OOP.

AQ, 88, and 44, I would think is in the pre-flop cold calling range.  Another thing is I don’t like to jeopardize alot of chips early with just TP, in this situation. In the early stages I am looking for a double spot and personally from the way the hand played out I don’t think this is one of them.

How about this for an idea? Since you know his habit of pot betting, why not test his pot bet on the flop? Raise him to say 850? and if he truly is good he will call and possibly bet into you on the turn. If he is marginal, he would call and then check the turn, giving you a free card with some showdown value. Then if he is just betting into you with air I think he would fold on the flop or call and see what you do on the turn. Wouldn’t this narrow his range down a bit??

Doesn’t compute, when has he potted previously?  I would fold river, however if the J doesn’t come I’m more inclined to call just because he could be spazzing out a lot with worse aces or god knows what, a lot of people in ftops brawl this early are capable of playing hands very poorly.  If he has been tight and not aggressive however, I’m fine with folding turn, and definitely folding river.

i’ve seen him bet pot, but not showdown any hands; does that not make sense?

meh there just aren’t any draws on board. imo this is a way ahead/way behind spot where he either has AQ/set or a worse A/middle pair/air type hand.

so i think that raising just folds out a lot of what we beat while assuring we get all the chips in with his hands that beat us.
