I am not sure if anyone else does this or not, but since Casey has mentioned in a bunch of his vids that recording seems to settle his play down I started to do the same thing so that I could also watch it back later to see what mistakes I make and if I would play spots differently. I was just curious if anyone else does this and if so if you want to PM about trading vids to share critiques that would be great, also PM me if you want to know what I am using to do it if you want to start.

I think if you’re willing to put the work in to do this and review your thought process after with a clear objective head then this is great and could help you fix a lot of leaks that you may not realize in real-time situations.

That is what I am hoping for. If you have any tips for doing them it would be greatly appreciated. It is certainly a really weird sitting and talking to myself for hours (plus my wife looks at me like I am nuts), but it has certainly helped me so far!

Interesting idea, i think i’ll do it too if I can figure out how to get my mic to work with camtasia, I’d be interested in swapping.  What kind of tourns do you usually play?

Right now I am playing mostly $1.10 and $2.20 MTTs and some $2.20 6-max’s on Stars, but I am starting to trend into the $5, $8 and some $10’s since I am starting to get a bit more confident in my play. What are you playing?

mostly just sunday majors, bodog/ap/stars/ftp.  massive value as most of the players are still pretty awful due to sattying in/buying in to take a shot plus overlays a good chunk of the time, and i have the roll for it.  it’d still be an interesting experiment imo, maybe even moreso.

Sounds great. I am looking at taking my first shot at the Sunday 250k in a couple of weeks so it would be interesting to get the thoughts of someone who has seen a lot of it before. This could be a pretty cool experiment in checking and evaluating more live play!
