3b is pretty small.  i’d way rather go to ~95k-105k.  I think the only thing you might get to fold with the check shove is AJ, and would way rather check-calling to keep JJ-KK in his range.

I had a very similiar hand deep in a tourney recently where I had A8suited and the CO raised me. He’d been doing it every chance he got. I spazzed out and just shoved on him, because I felt he was so aggro if I 3-bet him he’d likely 4-bet shove. He turned over QQ and that was end of my run.

So the question I would ask the pros is this – should the lesson be “when you are 100BB deep you just can’t let whacky aggros convince you it is a good idea to shove light” or, is it ok to stand up to the bullies in these spots, just go in knowing that sometimes they are going to have it.

I agree with SFpwnt, hate Ax hands in these situations when I have less than a J kicker.  Suited gappers and connectors fair much better imo.
