To flip or not to flip....

I feel like a huge leak in my game is that I tend to find myself in positions where I get like 40+BBs all in at the middle of tournies where I am close to certain that I am flipping for huge stacks.

For example, last night this situation arises.  Now some background…  The villain here had shown down an overshove like this 3 times:  66, JJ, and AK.  However, just the last orbit, I opened K10s, he 2.5 reraised me, and I 4 bet shoved him into a fold with like 29 bigs.  My read was he felt like a made hand (AK may feel to be, in his opinion, “made”) was just to shove, a 3 bet signaled weakness.  We are well past the bubble.

My image should be kinda tight, even though I shipped like 4 times the last 30 minutes since the bubble, but they were when I was massive shorty with like 15BBs and had limpers/ open shoved.  Hadn’t shown down junk or even seen a flop when I raised.  Since then, I double with QQ when I called an 18BB shove of AQ and I held.

Questions:

1. In the future, if my reads tell me that this hand is like 90% a flip, is this a standard call?
2. At what stack size (how many bigs) does this call become standard regardless of reads (imagine I had just been put at this table)?
3. At what BB level are we comfortable taking a flip, even though we never KNOW we are flipping, if a player has his card face-up?
4. Do you call here?

I think based on your reads of what you said he has over shoved with in the past your are either flipping or behind. By his shoving he took away our chance to have FE. You still have 27 bigs and I think its too much for us to put in the middle at this point. I think if you know this is a flip and you have as many big blinds as you have why do you want to gamble if you know your better than most at the table?  I personally under 20 bigs would ship here.  However, in this case I fold.
