Bannyhill is 9/4 over 110 hands
Ive been pretty active, running 23/15 over 110 hands

I checked down thinking he wont be folding his pairs to a bet but only his Ax hands etc that I beat so I checked keeping the pot small with some showdown value. Then he pots it on river. What you think?

I think I’d call.  2:1 not a ton of your chips and he could easily have the same hand or a weaker ace.  But he probably had the flush? 😛

I don’t think his flat gives us too much info because hes getting such great odds to flat here. How has he been playing his 18bb stack? Has he flatted pre recently? Has he open pushed or pushed after an open recently?

Without that info I prob call, we have good equity, and I want to see what he has.

PS – The hand converter is really easy to use, I used it for the first time yest. I agree that it is much easier on the eye.

Please use the hand coverter from now on thanks 🙂 ———————————————–^

The flop of Jh 4c 5d is a pretty dry flop as its one high card and two lows + a rainbow flop. I def c-bet this flop to something like 955 and evaluate from there. If he calls the flop he COULD have a weak jack (KJ,QK,10J, J9s,J8s something like that) or he could have smaller pairs such as 22,33,66,77,88 or just two broadway cards such as KQ, K10, Q10, QJ suited or not. Bigger pairs probably 3 bet pf such as 99,1010,JJ,QQ,KK,AA but I guess with his stack he could be flatting with a monster (but you have AK so AA and KK are a little less likely).

When the turn comes a 9d which now makes the board alot more complicated with stragiht and flush draws happening and because he checks behind it def seems like hes trying to get to showdown with a smaller pair or just has over cards / is giving up. The problem is that you don’t know because you didn’t get any info on the flop.

I would c-bet in position almost every time here and see what happens. The are alot of cards that could fall on the turn or river that his hand just wont be able to call bets from if he has small to mid pp’s. The fact that he bets pot on the river when the Ace hits is either a bluff (which does not make much sence becase an ace will call and you raised PF so you very well could of had an ace) or he actually hit the ace and has something like A8-A10 etc.

With your stack size I def call.

Would suck if he flipped over a set but its unlikely because he did not bet the flop OR turn.

just my .2

Standard call.. he probably put us on air or small PP trying to get to showdown. His shove never looks like a value bet and is he good ebough to soul read us for AK and he has a set or two pair?

As played it’s a call. You’ve shown no strength in the hand at all although your raise pre and checking all the way down would usually make me thing you have a medium to decent Ace that whiffed so his pot sized bet has me curious.

Call and hope he shows you AQ.

He never has AJ here IMO. KdQd is a possibility, though.

It’s one of those where his line makes no sense so he either has the nuts or nothing…
