What is your standard preflop bet sizing when you open, 3 bet and squeeze?

I am curious about what bet sizing people are using preflop for the following:

— You are first to open preflop. Is your standard raise 2.0x, 2.25x, 2.5x, 3.0x or something else?

— Someone has opened with a raise (let’s say min raise) and you have a hand that you will re-raise with. Is your standard reraise 2.0x, 2.25x, 2.5x, 3.0x or something else?

— Someone has open min raised, someone else flats and you have a hand that you will squeeze with. Is your standard squeeze sizing 3.0x, 3.25x, 3.5x, 4.0x or something else?

I realize you may not do the same thing every time, but my question is what is your standard bet sizing?

2.5BB is my default.  Early in tournaments, when 200BB+ deep, I go to 3BB.  Late I go to 2.25ish…with the new BB ante structures, there are often levels where you can’t be too fine.

3 bets are to a little less than 3x the open.  More when OOP.

My squeeze size defaults to about 4.5, once again more when OOP.

Varies based on many factors. Usually 3x during the very early states from almost any position.  2.5x once the antes kick in, but I will alter that a bit based on how the table is playing, opponents etc. If I have people behind my that are calling too many raises I will size it up a bit with my value hands. Once we get deep in the tournament I tend to come down to straight 2x.  But it is almost always in that general range of 2-3x.

Unless the BB plays very poorly, I think straight 2x is just giving BB to good of a price to call.  Great if we want to play a pot against a bad player, but against someone who I feel is even decent, I want to price them out a little more than that.

Personally I am openraising between 2.0x and 2.2x, mostly 2.1x.

As a 3bet with only the raiser as of now in the pot, my standard 3bet is around the 2.7x-3.1x mark. E.g.: OPR to 2,5, my 3bet will be around 6.75x when I am in position and 7.75x when I am OOP, this is to ensure that the raise is significant enough that he cannot call all raises profitably when in position(when I am in SB/BB).

When one additional player is in the pot, my raise sizing will stay the same, however when 3+ players are already in I will add 1.2x per player to my raise, capped at 9,5.

Stack sizes and position should factor into this…

Yea 100%, but I read his question as being: what are your general sizings, and, would you say that you adjust opening sizings, by i.e. 0,1 for all positions your in? if you’re playing online and multitable’ing 6-12 tables, wouldn’t you say that a more standardized opening size, for example, having 2, one for EP and one for LP is sufficient? what are your thoughts?smile
