I'm not sure if this is the right category to post this, but wanted to see which series you guys like to go back and watch when working on your game, or need a refresher.  I love to go back and watch the KB vids, “Sticking it to the Man”, as well as all of the Big Dogs vids to just name a couple (would love to see some smaller stake vids of the Big Dog, but I absorb everything he is saying).

Which pro and series do you guys like to watch?  I would love to get a thread going with recomendations to go back and watch for all members whether old or new.  I look forward to your responses.  Thanks.

I can't stress enough how much I've learned off watching Mike “goleafsgoeh” Leah's vids. He's got a great way of explaining what he's doing, and if you aren't a crazy aggro LAG spew type of player, then his style is great to learn from….now if only I actually applied it 😉

….and of course you can't ever go wrong with anything from the bigdog!

Exploiting tendencies by Daryl Jace, probably the most ridic amount of information in a single vid iv seen yet, literally covers everything.

Advanced hand Analysis by Daryl Jace, another amazing series.

Metagame adjustments by Chris Moon, follows on well from jaces and is really interesting and the dynamics talk is really useful.

any of the sunday mill final table reviews, (wein, hagbard and more recently bourbonFTW.)

But in all honesty if you want to refresh on something just check out the theory section.

I'm a bigdog fan as well.  Especially live sweats, but ive always preferred live sweats over hand reviews…just personally.

Love BourbonFTWs stuff. The betudontbet series is really great as well.

Bourbonftw is by far my favorite.

When I choose to actually put effort into poker, I like Daryl Jace's stuff.

+1,000,000

I learned so much from these, and I think I absorb so much more because the vids are so entertaining aside from their instructional value.

I like the bigdog for 2 reasons.

One, he makes an effort to not be boring. I cannot tell you how many sleepless nights I have cured by watching poker vids. Cant do this when some weird guy is barking and saying “give em the ole showsky and hutch.”

The other reason is that he shows how you can basically sit out the pre ante levels and still be successful. This eliminates 99% of the tough spots and allows you to play more tables if you stagger the start times. This makes MTTs much easier. No need to stress out over spots before you're even close to the money. Here is an analogy. Big dog invests in index funds while some others try to play the markets. 9 times out of 10 they will end up with a similar return anyway.

Same answer for me. I keep going back to BourbonFTW's first FTOPS series.

I'd have to say I watch KidCardiff as much as possible. I actually talk in his accent when I'm playing my hands and when I'm doing other various things: “We're going to take a more aggressive approach with this text to Julie as she tends to be more on the passive side…. And we've managed to get a good response! That worked out quite brilliantly.”

KidCardiff is indeed my hero. In his most recent series he explains so many lines in every single hand it is ridiculous. He knows how to exploit everyone, even Antonius! He has such a calm demeanor. It's funny when he gets excited because it's still really even keel. His accent makes everything more interesting. And I have a lot of respect for the way he talks about other people's play. He never berates, or ridicules. It's always respectful and constructive. I think that shows a lot of maturity and he is the type of player I want to become.

Bigdog is always entertaining to watch. His series with Marc in the big 109 HH review was kind of annoying at first with all the inside jokes and sarcasm….but then after I watched it three times I sort of fell in love and found myself last night getting reraised on the flop 75BB and my only response was… “I think this guy is doin it.”

The Jace stuff gives me something new every time I watch it. Big Dog is great for inspiration in regard to game flow. I really like Mike Leah's approach to small ball too.

Hi Guys,

For pure enthusiasm, it's got to be the BigDog vids at the top of the list for me, as i can watch them umpteen times, learn or re-inforce something new every time, and never be not entertained or bored.

KidCardiff is way up there too. He has a really calm way of approaching the game which rubs off on you, makes very interesting plays and reads and he speaks in “Proper English” (and not aznAllin007 drawl). Sorry azn .. your voice is very annoyingfrown

Down at the bottom is Daryl Jace .. nothing wrong with the content, which is actually very very good, so long as i can keep my eyes open. The constant yawning reminds me of “the yawning man”, a character from the disney classic Tom Thumb, who comes out to “yawn” Tom to sleep with the “yawning man” song.

So come on DJ, do your vids when you've actually had some sleep sometime that month or take some amphetamines or something !

Anyway, KEEP THE VIDS COMING

If it's purely for brush-up, I don't think you can go wrong with Cougars' vids.  Very solid discussion, IMO.
