In the past as recreational player I never really paid much attention to the VIP points programs and the best use of the rewards. Now that I am currently playing full-time I feel this needs some attention as its a decent % of overall ROI. And for the first time ever I am racking up points at a decent rate. So I thought I would ask how you all use your points, and why you think this is the most beneficial use?

Very good topic Turbulence.

Vpps are way underrated IMO.

I always come up with grand plans to save all mine up so when I amass 10000000 I can withdraw $10000 or whatever the factor dictates.

Truthfully? I always end up sattying in (or attempting to) for lame ass tourneys like the big 11.

How do you utilise yours?

On pokerstars I just reinject them into my bankroll every time I have 10$ worth of points. It is lame and not interesting but it is the  way I get the most out of it if trust my overall bankroll management.

At Pokerstars and 888 i change all the coins to real money.

Changing the Points into tickets is always a winner deal for the Poker Room.

Thanks for the responses guys.

Before I stopped playing on Stars I converted my points into $215 ticket that I used to play TCOOP#1 which I cashed in for ~$1100 which was v nice. Then I cashed everything out and started playing elsewhere. I did the same on Party, used my VIP points to play some Powerfest events, but not much luck there. As for 888 I really cant understand their rewards programme.

I am generating £200-£300 worth of VIP points per month. I am thinking of just cashing this out and putting in my Bank account going forward (unless the BR has taken a big hit). I was also thinking of donating 10% of the VIP rewards to charity (this is an option on Stars).

I trade them for tournament tickets. It’s the same, trading for tickets or money, because i’m gonna play them anyway. And directly or indirectly, the money will go to the bankroll.

Have a good grinding.

IMO trading Coins/Tickets/whatever else for T$ or cash is the best way to go. If you try to buy anything else from the store the conversion rate is usually lower anyway.

Reminds me I need to check for points/bonuses on Party/888…I must have tons saved up because I’ve playing playing on those sites for 4-5 years and never spent anything!

Awesome – glad to be of service. Perhaps you can give me a couple hours coaching for that?
