Hey guys,

Sorry if this issue has already been brought up but, when I’m watching videos whether it is on my iPad or laptop, the video will stop buffering about 75% of the way causing me to refresh the video and find where I left off.

I know that the buffer you use is QuickTime and I’m assuming that’s because you use FCP Pro to edit the videos. Is it possible to try loading the videos on a different format and experiment?

Is anyone else having these problems?

Hi, we don't use FCP pro to edit videos.  We use Camtasia.  We have not had anyone report this issue though.

 

Is this all videos new and old?

I’ve been watching TPE University videos mostly and it happens a lot. It might just have something to do with my browser or something if no one else is having the issue.

A quick question off topic for you Ron.

If I wanted ask another TPE member if they wanted to review one of my HH’s where would I go about doing that? And is it even allowed with the pros charging for it?

I have had the same issue when using my i-pad to watch the videos as well. Basically the video stops and then I have to restart it again and find the place where it stopped. It happens on virtually every video that I play but is quite random in terms of when it happens.

Yea after experimenting with the videos with my PC and my iPad I realized that it does only happen with my iPad.

This happens consistently on my ipad, but not on my PC. I've just grown used to it

Ok thanks for the feedback guys…first we heard.  I'll check into it and see why and what we can do to fix.

 

Can you clarify if it is also brand new videos or just back catalog?  The reason I ask is that we did a conversion for ipads about 6 months ago which may have something to do with it.

 

All new videos are done in camtasia with the default iPad settings.  So I need to know if we have to investigate old, converted vids or new ones as well.

For me, it seems to happen regardless of how new/old the video is

Happens to me too, but only on my ipad which i noticed you references as well. I gave up and switched to watchin vids on my S5

My ipad2 is older too. Havent updated it if that helps narrow the tech issue. Heard the update drains battery. Which current batt life on this is amazing only have to recharge everyfew days at most, so didnt want to update to new ios
