Try me tomorrow…I am getting just run over tonight…I could go into detail but there is no use or merit in doing so. Its one night and it should not alter my play, mindset, and outlook on the game. Although I am trying to keep this mentality, the ass beating I took is in the back of my mind.

My early stage game is pretty similiar to the what is shown in the vids…This was before even watching the vids. In the early stages, I am looking to play my big hands BIG…Hoping to double up against some guys that is really loose in the early stages.

Chipping up in the middle stages is my problem. Sometimes I’ll go in with a big stack and stack off against a big hand or get unlucky with a big hand……or….I wont have a big stack Ill have around 30 to 35BBs and the blinds get me and I try to find a 3-bet shove spot and get knocked out or I raise enough to call a 17BB stack shove, I will lose that pot and be down to 20 BBs or less than I have to find a spot to shove.

^^^^What can help me with this?

Keep doing what you’re doing.  Watch the videos, post hands and exchange IMs with people on the site here.  Sweat each other while playing and then when you come across an interesting hand that you guys have a lengthy discussion post it here.

You are on the right track – we should all have your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

ah tough break man

its tough in these tournaments cause you can’t really put these guys on many hands as they have a very wide range.

you have shown good results the past 2 nights and you should seroiusly watch bigdog’s videos as they might help you push your game over the top

gg still dont let tonight get you down.

yea man the lower levels are a lot different and I agree. Maybe if we push for videos on lower level tournaments we could see how they fare.

there is a new section on the forums for tournaments that we can orgainze. I got access from poker stars to create private tournaments. If you are interested go post in the new section created today

Lex,

Just to start off, don’t be results oriented, be problem with micro players are results they get with certain plays. When I taught my friends how to play (friends from high school), they would get so pissed when their big hands would not hit. I remember one of my friends waiting and waiting and waiting for hand he finally shoved 15 BBs with AQ and some1 called with 66 and he cried b/c he did not hit. Sometimes its that bad.

What I tell myself, and people that for some shocking reason learn from me, would you put your chips in with that spot again? Would you shove with that hand and allow the villian to call you again with that hand? Would you shove that hand and be confident you play well against the villians opening range and calling range?

Just keep at it, and be glad you ran deep in the daily dollar. I hope you don’t have work in the morning b/c being up til 230 will kill ya, lol.

RedRaiders, let me know when you get that tourney going. I want to join in. If you get it going hit me up on Pokerstars, I am BBird40 there or AIM BBWolf40 or Skype Bryan.Byrd40.

IMO, we should make this an exclusive tourney to everyone here at TPE and should include some of the pros if they want to play. lol
