SouthPaw_R32 Playing Day 1A of the WSOP Main Event

Just got back from registering at the RIO. I'll be playing Day 1A of the Main Event on Thursday.

I went and checked out the table I'll be sitting out……so I know where I'll be sitting.

I won't have access to an internet connection while there, so I'll report back at the end of the day.

3 Sleeps to go then, gogogogogo….. !!!

Nah, didn't try to qualify by winning a seat, just living the dream!!!

Butterflies are starting to kick in abit….. gonna be in BigDog early stages mode to start off with. Hoping for a nice table draw.

Already had breakfast (Buffet @ Aria), I was gonna do Buffet @ Wicked Spoon (Cosmo), but I think they open up @ 8:00 and didn't want to hang around and wait.

Take it really easy early. It's hard to express how deep this tourney plays in the beginning and you should not be playing 300bbs like a 100bb stack. Being nervous is natural. You will get comfortable as the day goes on. I've played twice 09 and 10, and I was very nervous to start in 09 but all it took was playing some poker to calm down.

Regarding your table. Even if you have a tough player or two that you recognize, just don't tangle with him. 90% of hte players in this tourney are soft and you can avoid the tough spots early on.

I'm not there this year, my mother in law is sick so i had to cancel my plans. But I wish you and all TPEers the best of luck!
