Around 34 min when you have KJ and raise it in late position. You bet 1350 into 2000 on the flop AJxss. For me that is to much. I mean, either he has a Ace and calls or he folds. I dont think he will get more afraid if you bet 1000 then 1350.
and when you bet that 350 more that is chips that will be lost if he has it, and dont make a differnent if he doesnt have it.
How do you feel about that?
(im sorry for my bad english btw 🙁 )

i agree with the fold in the sb with KJo to the button raise. It sucks to play either when just calling and playing out of pos postflop.. or 3 betting and having him call and u still having to play out of pos post…easy fold to me.

re; 5%-10% rule to see flop? is based on your stack size? and opponets stack size early pos is 9,000 = bets 450=10%, your late pos, stack 7,000,350=10%, assume pocket cards same, should U call with -100? when should one call,or fold??? marty

Hes talking about implied odds and when he is referring to the 5% he basically means both of your stacks. That way if you hit your set, 2 pair, trips, etc, you can do your best to get it in and double up or stack him. I mean, your obviously hoping to hit a big hand and have him with a hand hes willing to go all the way with like AA. Your so unlikely to hit these hands that its not worth it to play unless your going to get big value out of them when you do hit.

Yeah but why risk your tournament on a guess with king high? Sure you wanna be aggressive, especially if you put him on a steal, but your basically guessing there. Like Lee says a few times throughout he wants to find a better spot to get his money in. Plus on top of that The villains stack is I believe more than double ours as well, so sure we have a good amount of fold equity there but without history or a good read on that villain we dont know how light he’ll call, especially if he reads our 3 bet as a steal attempt. If hes tight then it could be a good move, but from the little Im seeing he seems fairly active and it wouldnt shock me for him to call as light as A9 or A10 where wer 45%, AJ where wer crushed at 20%, or a PP like 66-TT where wer flipping for our tournament. Lee had way too many BBs left to put his tourney life on the line in that spot, bottom line. I see that as being a pretty obvious -EV play unless the villain is stealing just about every button. Even there Im folding way more than Im resteal shoving.
