Great series Cory, I’d really like to see more of those. I play loads of live small buy ins, I find it difficult to deal with all the limp calling at the early stages.

yeaaa that tends to happen in those type of live MTT’s, just gotta widen your range a bit and adjust to it…actually works out well in the early stages sometimes bc you’re able to play post flop way more vs less skilled opponents that will make mistakes…thanks for the comment tho bud just wait, you’re gonna love the next few episodes in this series!

I feel your pain with 9T spades, as I too dusted off a large potion of my stack in the last level of the day in a mutli-day event. I floated with a gutter and turned a double gutter with flush draw and played it aggro then bricked everything on the river. Unfortunately villain had top top and wasn’t going anywhere.
I am actually thinking of doing something like this when I play online by using my webcam to record notes. reason being is that I dont use a hud when playing (i find it too distracting and misleading) but i do use a database for analysis. Taking verbal notes will make it easier and quicker to find specific hands to review.

voice memos can def help for online poker, and not even just in poker but in life!! I rarely text anymore, voice memos are just so much more convenient and can’t be misinterpreted when the person hears your voice. Make sure you label them well though (date, tourney, brief description of the hand) **ex. PH Main, Day 2 1st break, AKdd mistake** so now they’re really easy to find and you know what the notes about without having to listen to the whole thing first. The more you get in the habit of using them the more you’ll love and appreciate them. You’ll see, thank me later 😉
