Carlos, if you’re there…you really crushed in this group of hands. You were clubbing people to death like baby seals with all your shoves, and your instincts were very good. But I was just wondering, why are you doing so much 3Xing? It seems as though you could be more active and get into many profitable spots if you just min raised or made some other small open raise. Any thoughts?

That’s actually how I play now. I call it Carlooser. At the time, I was playing as Carloose with a slightly tighter range which fundamentally pairs well with the bigger sizing.

There is definitely a case to be made for opening smaller and more often in a tournament this weak.

Opening bigger and with a tighter range is only necessary in cases where you are getting played back at a good bit pre or post flop.
