Hey Danny, thanks for vid! I’ve got questions about 2 hands. First is TT hand (4:10), what do you think about cbetting this flop? I would almost always cbet it for value unless I had some read on players behind. I just think when you check-call it looks so weak that they could be doublebarreling light, also if they have like QK you are giving them free card. And 2nd hand is A8s (13:30), you said that raising is fine, but you folded…would you sometimes limp behind? You are still very deep and hands like this could bring you double up.

Yeah Martin I think I said in the video at some point I wasn’t happy with how passive I was playing and should have cbet the 1010. Limping behind is blah in my books with the a8s. You can 3x iso if you are to play the hand but I always like to take control of pots in position and get value preflop when I expect him to just check give up to cbets the majority of the time. Some people are fine with limping here just not my style.

Hey Danny, love your vids – you’ve helped me fix heaps of leaks in my turbo game, but yeh, I was surprised at how timid you played in this one so far (I’m cbetting that AQ hand every time). Also, shame you never got to shove that A10s handed after that perfect flop 🙂

Really looking forward to the rest of this series, as I’m always interested to see how turbo specialists adjust to deep stacked tourneys (something I’m struggling with myself).

Danny, when u r looking for shove spots like the one at 34 mins when u have a3o in the sb and the button has raised again — are u looking at how many chips u are going to pick up as well — advise iv had before say u should always look to add 20% to ur stack, otherwise its not worth the risk. How do u feel about this?

Thanks xandelas! Really glad I could help your turbo game I think I have a lot to offer you guys in that department and hope to do so even more in the future. Sometimes it is tough to adjust to f.o’s as a turbo grinder since you have to be a lot more patient (which I struggle with in life and poker sometimes lol) and adjust to the longer structures etc.
SJOHN11 20% sounds like a safe starting point for reshove spots. Definitely looking at the ante size and how much is in the pot and also want to be shoving the more active players as they are opening co’s and buttons light and not calling your reshoves a lot of the time. A3o in this particular case against a reg kinda sucks because it plays terrible against his calling range which is probably 55s+ a10o KQs. I would rather have a hand like 98s than a3o in this case so we are not exactly crushed most of the time.

Really disappointed in part 1. Soooo many misplayed hands imo. I hate the line with the TT early on. “Check raise for information?”. Shouldn’t we be betting either for value or as a bluff? Would have been nice if we saw how the villain lost his chips too!

Is part 2 worth bothering with ?

Sorry to be so negative ! Also the sniffing was beyond tilting when you’re listening on headphones. 🙁

Refer to comment above about 1010 hand
Sorry I couldn’t control having a cold?! lol
The series definitely gets better or obviously I would not have final tabled it and won $17k. Agree part 1 was def not my “A” game. Hope you enjoy the rest!
