Hmm, the 12345 bet opinion. In terms of being a tell I think this can go both ways – either stronger than a roughly similar bet in relation to the pot or weaker. I also think it can be no tell at all. I believe many players do it both to look stronger in some scenarios as well as doing it to look weaker in others. A good player would be balanced, of course, and may even be exploiting your tendencies that they have noticed. So unless I have multiple instances in similar scenarios for which I have observed the same trend I do not put weight on this behaviour (in this case I’d treat it as a bet of 50-55% pot without some read to exploit). Would be interested to hear other people’s opinions on this matter.
Completely agree with checking back flop and getting closer to showdown BTW, and I can’t imagine that there are as much as the, for this sizing, optimal 25% bluffs in their range by the river as played and am surprised the bet was not bigger (turn bet was almost 60% this one is ~52%). A flopped straight kind of makes sense to me for making it smaller on this run out as the smaller size than one would expect with their perceived range is attempting to look weak; in which case the bet size was used here, if anything, to attempt to induce a raise (they hope you flopped a set and slow-played, have something else you now think is good or decide to bluff).

Although it must be noted that 12,345 was 31% of their stack, and that any more than 56% pot is more than 1/3rd of their stack (13,266), so going much bigger than that probably means it’s better to just shove, hmm.
