what do you think about betting small on river since opponent has alot of missed draws that wont call any bet (basically all diamond draws and 89) ?Obviously you’re getting snapped off by AJ or maybe any ace but you might still get called by an ace when you jam also. Just want to know if a small river bet went through your mind or are you always jamming this spot. Thanks Andrew

That’s a good question. I will say that if AJ and worse fold to a river shove, picking up all that fold equity is probably more profitable than just picking up pots from the occasional busted FD (which, don’t forget, will still have the option to jam on you if you bet small). I think it basically just comes down to whether you have fold equity vs an Ace. I think you probably do, and that’s the main point I want to make here: that most people fail either to jam sufficiently wide for value or as a bluff. But if really think V won’t fold an A, then you might as well get less ambitious. But there really shouldn’t be that many busted draws in his range, and again, you may not win 100% of the time that you bet into them anyway. But I imagine the small bet is still better than checking, and I ought to have mentioned it. Thanks for the very good question!
