Great series. Thanks. At 28:57, you fold A9o from SB vs BU chip leader’s open. Understand why you don’t flat, wondering if 3b is possible — or not with ICM? You know he’s wide there and A9 way ahead of his range.

Hey spfeifer, thank you. I would personally avoid the 3beting in these sorts of situations, as the chip leader could put as in nasty spots due to ICM reasons [especially in top-heavy payout structures]. It is of course player depended, if the chip leader here would be someone who Is playing straight forward and won’t put us in ICM pressure, then we could widen our 3beting range with a selection of blocker type hands.

At 36:09, you jam 62bb 4-handed from BB vs BU limp and chip-leader complete from SB. This is obv profitable long-term, but is it worth the ICM risk to win 4bb?

The way I see this situation is that BU usually won’t have any traps here (Of course there will be fractions of it). Based on effective stacks sizes, most of his value range would want to raise here instead of limping. So shoving becomes super-profitable and low risk 😉
