    Seems like you’ve got the maths all messed up on 99 hand against kampiuceriss. You’re effectively putting in 630k vs. him and you can’t say “once I’ve put in X amount I’ve only got a bit left to call so I only need 99 to have 29% equity”. It’s more like 45% equity. Although fold equity helps you out some.

    Which you kind of said a minute after I paused the video. Sorry.
    Assuming sheetneedI is opening 20% and continuing with only JJ+,AK (which he shoves, and assuming kampo folds to 4bet y of the time and shoves the rest:
    EV (raise to 260K, folding to sheetneedI and calling kamposaurus) = (3/20)(-247500) + (17/20)(230472y +(1-y)(0.33*1355741-616933))
    =340008.5y – 181233
    >= 0 if y >= 0.533
    assuming also that 99 has 33% vs. kampo’s shove range.
    Does that sound about right?
    In game, I would have frozen, tanked and folded. Then i’d forget about the hand right after

    On the 99 hand, I look at the dead money in the pot (about 230k), and kampi’s stack (about 500k). I assume for simplicity’s sake that when I 4-bet, sheet shoves about as much as kampi folds, so those outcomes are a wash. Most likely kapi is shoving, and in the end,I will be putting 500k into a 730k pot, getting a little worse than 1.5/1, and needing about 40% eq against kampi’s 3-bet range. If he’s 3-betting 88+AQo+(6%), it’s about breakeven. Any wider, and we’re printing money. Thanks a lot for the great videos. You’re hard work on the game is evident, and I’ve learned a lot from them.
