  1. The Riceman

Hey Andrew, thanks for this. A couple of spots like the JJ where I have no idea where my head was at, however I can clear up the rationale behind the last hand, the 95o. I use Pokersnowie a lot, and whereas before I would always be folding this, HU Snowie always seems to kick my ass if I fold overcards, esp. on paired boards. Understand your logic on why I should bluff it though, having played it.

  2. The Riceman

Then again, Snowie does a lot of weird ass stuff I cant get my head around, like R/Fing a 6bb stk HU…for the life of me, I’m sure the AI is seriously wonky in some places…I actually suggested setting up a Snowie forum at TPE to discuss its moves, not sure, it might still be a good idea?

Andrew I know where I have seen it…if you select turbo freezeout in the Challenges section, where you play against Snowie, try a few games vs the bot HU…it r/f’s down to all kinds of madness. I was thinking it must be something to do with the bot being inexperienced with a freezeout format with increasing blinds. I’ll go so far as to say that I’m almost certain I have seen it r/f down to less than 6bb’s. Further, when I analyse my play thru Snowie after, it often gives me an error when I shove, say 7bb’s, saying instead I should have R’F. I am almost absolutely certain I have seen this phenomenon many times…unless ofc I am going utterly mad. That’s where you’ll most likely see it…in the Challenge Snowie section, under Turbo Freezeout HU.

  4. The Riceman

Its possible ofc that an update might have fixed it, if indeed it was a mistake, but I know I’ve seen it many times, because it has always struck me as very odd!

  5. The Riceman

OK so I have been trying to recreate this r/f to v small bb’s, and so far I have been unable to it. I see Pokersnowie’s Training module is back in beta. I hope they don’t try to artificially fix the software, AFAIAK/AFAIAC that would be against the whole AI concept being used here. I will keep looking, but…and I know this is tragic and vain to admit…Snowie rates me at error rate 8.30…almost World Class, and I have some kind of OCD around my Snowie rating so I don’t want to try to force scenarios which might damage my error rate. I tell you this though…I know I have seen it. If I am going doolally here and it is a figment of my imagination then I can’t even be sure my wife is my wife, and how do I know I’m not my own Grandma? I’ll eat a pineapple sandwich for breakfast. That’s how sure I am that I’ve seen it. I’ll keep looking.

Maybe it’s just me but that hand with the 22 had me laughing pretty good…not at Riceman’s play there at all but at Andrews last comment on it. I can really relate. After this I am sure there will be many times during my hand reviews where I will hear Andrews voice in my head say “and also…fold preflop” 🙂 Btw really enjoying this so far!
