Andrew, it was very generous of you to use me in this series, thanks again. Regarding my 3bets, I think, IIRC, that I mincashed this tourney. If that is the case, then I expect my 3bets were ICM related. I’m not expecting you to watch thru the video again, but for example at 25:00 I 3b A3o. To me this looks like something I might do on the bubble. My thinking runs like this: I had the larger stack, and I have ace blocker, I am happy to GII vs the BB who is short, and it puts ICM pressure on the initial raiser.
I can’t guarantee that is what was happening, and a pro might look at the blind levels and think “huh? The blinds are 250/500, how can that possibly be the bubble?” But as I said, I’m fairly confident I mincashed this.

Well I am in Madrid, I have been by the pool with my kids all day reading your book, which has got soaking wet twice. Ah well, I’m not precious about my paperbacks, first thing I do in fact is break the spine on them. I am on page 51. Well, let me say this: these books are always rather dry, at least, reading game theory books always seems like serious study, and I tend to lose interest when I can’t get my head around a theoretical point. I have been reading Tipton’s first book ever since the day it came out, and I am only half way thru it still. I have already bought the 2nd volume, goodness knows why because I expect to be 82 by the time I start it by finishing the first. There is a very telling statement in the blurb (is that what it is called?) on the back: “Andrew is widely regarded for his ability to explain complex concepts in terms anyone can understand.” When I read that I realised: herein lies your USP (imo). Probably, there are hundreds of pros out there who have as good, if not better, understanding as you. But your poker mind is the most accessible of them. I have not lost interest in your book yet, admittedly early days, because I have not had to struggle for more than 10 minutes over a point of theory.
