    I think a lot of people are over-folding to small check-raises, but in theory there definitely are times to go bigger. It’s the same rule as betting: the more polarized you are, the bigger you should raise (assuming stacks deep enough that a small raise won’t facilitate accessing stacks by the time you want to).

    FWIW, I don’t like thinking of it as a multiple of Villain’s bet. Your raise size relative to the pot is what matters.
