Great series so far. One question. At around 19 min you with 88 you flatted a raise and said you didn’t like it. I assume that you would 3 bet here. Assuming the guy who jammed after you flatted still does this, are you 3 bet folding? Are you open folding 88 to a raise from a 26/14 player? Tough spot.

The reason I don’t love the flat there is because the player who opened is so short – I’d just be 3-betting to get it in versus that short-stack, yeah. As far as the other player behind goes, I think if I 3-bet versus the original raiser then the 4-bettor’s range for getting it in would be a lot tighter, so I imagine I’d be folding to them.

It would probably be reasonably close, since there would be a fair amount in the pot, but when they jam 27bb as a 4-bet I imagine my equity isn’t good enough to call. It’s all about equity versus their range, and their range for jamming versus a flat is wider than their range for jamming versus a 3-bet, especially since they know that I’m never 3-bet-folding to the original raiser. Hope that answers your question!

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you’re enjoying the series!
