Great video man. How high did you play cash ? Would you say you have a good edge postflop on a lot of MTT regs ?

hey guys. feel free to ask any questions im plenty narcissistic enough to continually check the comments. i do want to say that when i make another video it will be wayyy better. and the more criticism i get the better it will be. if i can do one thing, its leakfix. just got back to cabo after a live tourney trip to florida and excited for online tourneys. scoooooop. mickman ive played lots and lots of 5/10 and im up about 400 buy ins in my life. ive also played toooo much 25/50 and im down 75 buy ins in my life. you can do that math and see im breakeven at those 2 stakes. at 1/2 ive played about a million hands with a rather silly lifetime winrate of around 5bb/100 at 200nl. mostly headsup. i believe, when playing well, i have a postflop edge vs the majority of mtt regs due to the hand reading skills and ruthless aggressiveness i developed playing hu.

I’ve just started to play cash in the last 6 weeks to help improve my MTT game overall. There had been too many times when i’ve been deep in a tournament and had a nice stack but not done well, due to not being particularly good postflop, where good players would have done much better. I have only been playing 6 max but i would certainly like to give HU ago when i get some good volume in.
Best of luck in the Scoop dude.

Very impressive debut, thank-you David, I’m looking forward to the rest of this series.

I have no criticism, but I do have a favourite bit; your on the fly explanation of your thought process during the hand in the $320 at 34-00 mins where you hold 77 and the board is 6J66 is first class. Content like that is golden and justifies my subscription many times over,.

  8. Van H3Lzing

Dave, you fold 22 at around 9 mins and AQ o at 22 mins in the big 109 pre. Is that standard for you? You are fairly deep in both spots no?

    lol this comment is awesome

van h3: the 22 i think i should probably have called. the aqo i like the fold when utg full 3x pre ante

  11. Van H3Lzing

Ah ok thanks bet, I prolly shud add that fold into my game. Im folding AJo pre so AQ is prolly no different. AKo I prolly flat there to a utg raise tho.

Welcome Dave, nice vid! I have a couple of questions:
how many do you play usually at the same time?
to protect your bankroll, do you consider the total of the buying of those games to be a certain % of your bankroll?
at those levels do you give priority to cashing or are you willing to risk your chips to double up without cashing ?
    thanks!

great first video! can’t wait for the rest. love the fact that we see 4+ tables .. enough action so that there is no downtime during the whole video.

keeping your focus, shrugging bad beats off and accepting variance is def a thing I need to work on in my game. It’s awesome to see how focused you stayed throughout the video. If I shove JJ and get snapcalled by QQ I’m like “OF COURSE someone has a better hand” lol

oh..and also +1 for a TCOOP ME series!!

Welcome Dave, nice vid! I have a couple of questions:
how many do you play usually at the same time? Anywhere from 6-15 depending mostly on how im feeling and what tourneys are actually running.
to protect your bankroll, do you consider the total of the buying of those games to be a certain % of your bankroll?
im backed for mtts so i dont have to worry about this i just play ball. but i think for smart people backing themselves in mtts you should be able to afford to loose for a month strait at least.
at those levels do you give priority to cashing or are you willing to risk your chips to double up without cashing ? good question. you shouldn’t look at the size of the buy in but instead the amount of buy ins won with a min cash, and the amount won by winning the tourney. the bigger the ratio of the 1st place price to a min cash, the less consideration you should give cashing.
    thanks!

At around min 22:00, you have 2600 chips and there is a utg raise to 150, you have aq and you decide to fold, I found this very interesting and would like to hear your thought process.
