Hi guys,

So I signed up to TPE about a month ago since I felt I had kind of stagnated with my game. I have been playing recreationally for about 10 years on and off just really low stakes MTTs, single table SNGs, and live pub poker games (there is basically only a 1/3 cash game at our nearest casino and I’ve never got into cash games). I know pub poker games sound really lame but there is actually quite a thriving poker community down here in Hobart and the $20 buy in range is spot on for my budget at the moment! Plus live games are far more enjoyable for me. A few months ago I discovered Twitch and after watching some pros play, realised I had so much more to learn. Even after just watching these guys play, my game improved but now I really want to take it to another level. I did a quick google search to find the best poker training websites and found TPE, a site focused solely on MTTs. Bloody perfect! So here I am, ready to learn and keen to start taking down some tourneys!

Peace

Hey Cmid, do you have pubs in the USA? I am very surprised. I thought you had bars. Pubs are a British invention. The public house where you go to meet your buddies and drink some chemical refreshment and talk shit then go home to wet the bed. That actually happened to me once…I got so paralytic wasted down the Blue Anchor in Crowborough (Google it), that I trod on the koi carp in the outside pond and killed it then went home to my mate’s house unable to walk, and wet the bed. My mate’s dad got so angry in the morning because he wanted to have a shower before going to work, but he couldn’t get in to the shower because I was on the shower floor unable to move because my kidneys, liver and head hurt so bad I was literally writhing on the floor of the shower in agony.

Pleased to meet you…welcome to TPE!

Thanks guys,

That’s quite a story Riceman! I have had similar experiences in a number of different pubs!

I’m in Hobart, Tasmania, not in the states.
