I’m in the middle of a $5K downswing and I am not thankful for that. But since it is Thanksgiving here in America, I figured I would take a moment to list a few things I AM thankful for. Family, health, etc are of course on the list, but this is the poker edition. So here it goes…
- I’m thankful for that I have somehow found a way to make a pretty good living out of poker. Either by playing it, or via Tournament Poker Edge. “It beats pouring concrete” I always tell my son.
- I’m thankful for the friends that I have met through poker. TPE pros, friends of TPE, TPE members and so on. It’s crazy to think I would have never met some of you had I not gone on this little adventure.
- I’m thankful that my wife and son almost never complain, despite the fact that poker takes me away from the family an absurd amount of the time.
- I’m thankful to all of the business partners who have supported TPE in one way or another over the years. Everyone from Bluff to Cardplayer to Allin Magazine to 2+2, to the Thinking Poker Podcast and the list goes on and on.
- I’m thankful that people, for whatever reason, even care what I have to say in this blog, on the Tournament Poker Edge Podcast or on Twitter.
Thank you to everyone reading this, TPE member or not. You guys ravage. I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday and good luck at the tables!!
