Andrew Brokos wraps up his theory series on range construction this week. In part 9, he summarizes the lessons we should learn from correct GTO play. He goes over what a good poker hand should from the perspective of both the preflop raiser and the caller. Finally, he brainstorms some ways to exploit people who stray from GTO.

Daryl Jace returns this week with a new hand history review. After a 10 minute preamble, he goes deep into some seemingly standard spots to discuss nonstandard lines. In one spot, he check raises a dry board with very little equity. He briefly goes over his reasons for doing so, but states that in this series he’d like to leave a lot of these thought provoking spots unanswered so that we will be forced to think through them.

Cory Waaland continues his hand history review of his win in a Merge tournament. In part 5, he continues analyzing DiamondDixie’s run to the final table. She starts with 45bbs and continues to use a very aggressive style and put tons of pressure on small and medium stacks. In part 6, she continues with more of the same and ends with a huge 3 way all in which gives her a huge stack heading into the final table where she is finally joined by Cory.
