Peter Morris, better known as “DrawingBored” on the virtual felt, and far better known away from the poker table as two time world rap battle champion “The Saurus”, has been balancing the music/battle rap/poker grind for the better part of the last 15 years. He started learning hold ’em in 2001 thru low stakes limit cash games spread in California’s Bay/Sillicon Valley area & his own local cardroom in the Monterey Bay. From there he evolved to playing $1-2/$1-3 no limit cash while also working part time at his local cardroom as a prop player for their $6-12 kill limit game & earning his living grinding cash while also balancing his life in the world of underground hip hop as it started moving forward significantly.

It wasn’t until 2010 when Morris was given the opportunity to play the WSOP Main Event that he started taking being a full time tournament poker player seriously. With minimal prior live mtt experience he made a moderate run deep into day 3 of his first ever WSOP Main & from there his interest in tournament poker turned to intrigue & the want to pursue the MTT grind on a more regular basis while still playing cash a few days a week to pay bills/buy jordans etc. In spring 2012 He moved to Los Angeles to be more in the heart of both the entertainment and poker industries & became a regular grinding the $2/3 nl at The Bike while grinding tournaments weekly in prep for the WSOP Main again. After another frustrating Day 3 Main Event finish Peter was not deterred & felt like he was playing great poker so 30 minutes after busting he late regg’ed a Rio nightly deepstack which he ended up chopping 6 ways for $4450. The following day he entered a $600 Venetian Deepstacks which he ended up unofficially final tabling & busting 10th, respectively, for another $4k score. He then returned home to LA for the start of the Legends of Poker series at The Bike where he won a $340 deepstacks prelim for $9k 3 days later.

Following the mini run Morris loaded up on multiple US friendly sites where he has been grinding comfortably since, particularly on WPN, where, under the name “DrawingBored” has put together almost $200k in scores including a recent 2nd place finish in their Sunday 100k Guaranteed for $12750. In April of 2014 he moved to Las Vegas to put in more volume online & focus primariliy on the poker grind and 3 days after moving there he shipped a $300 Venetian Deepstack for $10.4k to top off a string of other small mtt wins the same week at Caesar’s poker room. You can find him almost any day of the week grinding a ful schedule on WPN or playing 6max limit cash on Bovada
