Last blog I got tons of hate for what I think was a failure to communicate my message.  I apologize, my main message I was trying to convey was that our education system is broken.  Now looking back and making similarities, I think its just as broke as our health care system, which I will save for future cynicism.

I hope that the common reader here watches "Boardwalk Empire" on HBO every Sunday night.  There is no need to go into plot killing paragraphs here, I just felt compelled by a certain character.  The new Italian gangster name Rosetti(sp.?) is one of the best characters I've ever seen on film/T.V.  If you have watched the new season you will understand that when he walks into a scene YOUR mood completely changes.  He immediately puts you on edge because he is such a loose cannon that you never know whats about to go down.

When writers and actors come together like that it is incredible.  Imagine the power they create when they are able to change the way someone feels just by placing the right script with the right facial expressions.  They both have true genius that when combined makes something far greater than what they are alone.  What good would "Good Fellas" be if Joe Pesci's roll was played by Pauly Shore?  Sure this is taking the message to an extreme but I think some actors are irreplaceable.  Even the matrix, who else could play the roll of Neo?  We all make fun of Keanu Reeves for how dolty he sounds and appears, however he nailed that roll.

I still maintain that Cage is one of the best actors ever.  He crushed so many movies that we all watch on repeat Saturday afternoons.  Cage is the perfect example of how great people can fall far from grace when they are out of their element.  He has been in at least 10 movies that we all love and performed exceptionally well even winning best actor.  He has also been in at least 10 movies that we either all hate or will never watch.

Now get on with your mundane Tuesday, but take away something.  Placement is everything.  Positioning people or things to perform at their best is never easy, otherwise we would all be rich.  Look around and see everything that isn't performing at its optimal capability, and fix it.  Often times that means throwing away old things, sorry hoarders.  Other times it just means placing a hook next to your door creating a system where you will never lose your car keys.  I guarantee that hook by the door gets more use than any other one in the house.  As I look within myself I've realized that I am not using my skills to where I should be.  I sit at home on a computer all day when my main talent lies within my social skills.  Which is why I will be shifting my efforts away from poker soon.

3 days and counting without a sports bet.
