I arrived home yesterday for a short break from the summer grind. My wife Leann welcomed me home with a fresh pot of homemade chilli and a fridge full of new IPAs that I have never tried. I'm taking my son to see "Super 8" tonight and then I'm going to do a whole lot of nothing for the next few days before heading to our beach house in the Outer Banks for a few days of fishing, sun and birthday celebration (my birthday is July 4th).
I was really happy to finish up strong in Vegas (although not as strong as I would have liked) before coming home for this break. Now my confidence is up and I'll be well rested when I get back to finish off the summer. I have 3 more Venetian Deepstack tournaments on my schedule when I get back and am also going to take a shot at sattying in to the WSOP Main Event.
I'm also looking forward to seeing all the TPE guys again. We've all become even more of a family over this summer (a dysfunctional family, but a family none the less). So it will be cool to get back and hopefully one of us can make another run in something.
If any TPE members are going to be out in Vegas during the Main Event, make sure and let us know so we can try and hang out. It's been awesome to meet so many TPE members this summer, so would like to add a few more to that list before it is all said and done.
