It is Monday and normally this is where a weekend update would go. Well this Monday is a little different, as I don't have anything from the tables to update you on. This weekend my family went away for our annual extended weekend getaway to celebrate a host of birthdays, wedding anniverseries and otherwise just hang out together. We went up to the Catskills region in New York to a resort that had no TV and no other real connection to the outside world. I followed my Twitter feeds in the morning and the evening, but that was it, cutoff otherwise. I have to say it was really nice. Just taking a break from everything was really quite refreshing. I am looking forward to playing today as I am off and don't really have anything on the schedule, and I think I am more rested and focused that I have been in quite some time. I have been working hard on my PLO game and it is really starting to come together. I am a lot more comfortable playing the game now and have really started to become dangerous with it. The game plays a lot deeper than NLHE so I have found it takes some tricks sometimes to con people into committing their entire stack, but for the most part folks overplay the hell out of everything at 10PLO and it isn't hard to take it. I have routinely been playing the 2.20 PL HA tourney on Merge and will continue as it is my mission in life now to win it (several FT's at this point, with 4th being the best). I don't think it has taken the place of the FT Super Stack as my Unicorn, but it is getting close. Too many more of these near misses and it will ascend to a new rank. Well that is about all i have for today, it is short as i didn't really do anything poker related all weekend, so tomorrow will be a more extensive update. This is the Gman signing out!
