So I have had a couple of sessions since deciding to come back to playing and in the first I scored a ticket to the Merge 100k tomorrow. I decided to register, hey why not I have the ticket might as well use it right? With that in mind I sat down last night for a session to make sure that I am feeling comfortable and starting to apply what I know and shake some of the rust off. While I have to go back and look through everything I am pretty sure I made some mistakes, but overall not too upset with how I played. Managed to score a 2nd in the Fast Fifty and 5th in a $2 Bounty. I was $4.50 in for the evening and walked out +$40. While it isn't big bucks at the moment, it is a dynamite starting spot. I am looking forward to growing my roll up to being back as a mid stakes reg again. I was a little surprised at how comfortable I felt at the table. Things just seemed to make sense as I was watching the hands and seeing what opponents were doing. I think a little change in environment has helped me a bunch too. I just moved into my house about a month ago now and I have a spot for my desk that is distraction free and allows me to really focus. When I was back in my apartment I was in the living room on the couch trying to play in the middle of life. I'm keeping myself relaxed and calm and very much so looking forward to tomorrow. I haven't played a deepstack online in a long time, but I know how to play them so I can't wait to see what I can do in the 100k.
