Taking today off.  I have a pizza in the oven and a cold Mt. Dew for fuel.  Plan on just taking it easy today and getting a bunch of work done.  I've really been having a blast here in the TPE house.  Never a dull moment to say the least.,,hopefully you guys have been checking out the TPE Live podcast to get an idea of what live is like here at the house.

One thing I have learned is that live MTT poker can be a bit frustrating.  Playing 11 hours usually means you have at least made the money…in live poker, no so much.  I've played 6 events since I arrived.  I've gone fairly deep in all but two, including last night at the Venetian Deepstacks where I busted about 20 from the money.  I have managed one cash in the first event of the Grand Poker Series at The Golden Nugget.  Unfortunately that was the smallest buy in I have played.  I felt great about how I played in that tourney but busted in 20th after getting it all in for half a million chips (60 BBs) with AJ vs 99.  I flopped  a Jack and I really thought I was about to take this thing down, but then a 9 fell on the river and I was sent to the rail.  But I think after a day off I will be recharged and ready to get back to business.

Tomorrow I think I will head back to the Golden Nugget to play the $235 NLHE event.  Structures there are really great and the competition is soft to say the least.  Plus the Venetian has a HORSE tourney, so that is not really an option for me.  I had originally intended to play maybe 10 events out here, but my backer has been very generous in allowing me to play a bunch of stuff, so hopefully I can get that elusive big score in before the summer is over.

One cool thing has been meeting TPE members while here in Vegas.  It's amazing how many of you there are!!!  If you see any of us around, make sure and say hello.  Would love to meet more of you guys (and girls).

I'll check back in soon!!!
