Well, I've been back from the World Series of Poker for about a month now and I have had plenty of time to make up for lost time with the family and take care of loose ends that were left with me being gone for nearly 2 months. I've done enough laying around on the beach which can only mean one thing…back to the MTT grind!

I pretty much got back in to the groove last week and put in 3 solid sessions, including my first Sunday in a while.  While I have not had that big score yet, I've had a few wins and other final tables in smaller buy in tournaments.  While that does not help pay the bills, it does remind me that I can still play and gets me motivated to crush again.  I feel like I am a much better player since returning from Vegas.  The opportunity to play that much poker and, more importantly, talk strategy with all of the other TPE guys in the house really expanded my game I think.  I'm looking forward to keeping up the pace and playing at least 3-4 nights per week going forward.

I have also been supplementing my income with a bit of live cash here and there.  We don't have casinos here, but there are some games to be found if you look hard enough.  Although I do not consider myself a "great" cash game player, I find that if you pick your spots, play in position and stay out of the way of the really good players you can make a decent chunk of change each night.  Plus I really do enjoy the social aspect of live poker, especially considering I work at home and sometimes going out to play poker is my only social interaction of the week!!

We have some exciting things happening at Tournament Poker Edge.  Obviously the times have changed since Black Friday, and we want to continue to make TPE the absolute best training site it can be.  So look some exciting announcements coming from us very soon.

As always, thanks for the support and let us know how you are doing post Black Friday.

Also, make sure and hit up the TPE chat room when you are grinding.  We've been getting some nice crowds in there again and it has been great to talk hands with all of you guys!!
