The last week and a half or so have been pretty solid poker wise.  After bustnig the Venetian $600 Danny and I decided to enter the $200 Big Bounty.  I managed to final table it and ended up chopping 3 handed for essential second place money of $3600.  I felt like it was a pretty good chop. I had 300K, 2nd place had 500K and the chip leader had 700K.  I certainly felt like I had an edge on these guys skill wise, but blinds were going up in 8 minutes and I was about to have 15 BBs so I decided a chop that got me second place money was worthwhile.  It had also been a really long day.  When I first started the tourney I was planning to just get all the free drinks I could and have a good time with it.  But before I knew it I had a big stack and had to cut off the alcohol and actually try and win.

A few days later Marc, Danny and I played the $340 event at the Wynn Classic.  Marc and I both final tabled.  Unfortunately we ran god awful and ended up busting in 10th and 7th.  The things that happened this final table still have Marc and I shaking our heads, and we will be detailing some of the hands on an episode of TPE Live that we are recording today.

Due to some stuff that has come up, I'm going to have to leave Vegas a little early.  It really only cuts about 3 days off of my time in Vegas, but what it does mean is that I won't be around for the Main Event.  I ws not planning to play it unless I sattyd in anyway, but it is still a great time to be hanging around the Rio, so I'm a little bummed about that…but I have some stuff to attend to, so it is what it is.

Marc and I are heading back to the Wynn tomorrow to play the $500…hopefulyl we'll have some more good results!
