This week we welcome a new pro to TPE – Jeff “Hurricane Jeff” Romano. He makes his debut with a low stakes live sweat on Lock Poker, where he is a sponsored pro, and one of the top players on the Merge Network. We also catch up with the boys in Vegas as they continue to grind out the World Series!

Ben “KidCardiff6″ Warrington SCOOP Live Sweat

Part 3

Part 4

In part 3 he continues with his huge stack in the SCOOP tourney. There is a pretty interesting hand with Scott Clements where Ben flops great but the board runs out in spades and he has a tough decision on the river. He has a great stack in all tourneys although he takes a decent hit in the Sunday 500 but is still hanging in there. He makes a great laydown in the stars.fr tourney to maintain his 70bb stack.

In between the videos it seems to be all action, and unfortunately Ben lost a big flip in the Sunday 500, but then he also got a huge double-up in the Sunday Second chance with only 150 or so left. In the SCOOP event he has been card dead for a while, and then gets a tough table draw when he is moved to the left of the one and only Isildur1

“Hurricane Jeff” Romano Premiere Series Live Sweat

Part 1

Part 2

As I mentioned earlier, this week we have two parts from new TPE pro Hurricane Jeff. In part 1, he starts off by 4 tabling the $30 Daily Deepstack, a $5r $3k gtd, a $55 5k gtd, and a $10 Daily Deepstack, and it early or mid-stages in all of them. First thing to notice is that he only used three stats on his HUD, so now we really have a spectrum on TPE from people that use it a lot, to people who don’t use it at all. Unfortunately he busts the $5r and the $10 straight away but replaces them with a couple of $10 tournaments. He makes some good points about raising as a steal with a 20bb stack depending on table dynamics. There is also a great hand where Jeff soul-reads a guy and stacks him with a set. In general he likes to play a lot of hands early which is high variance but it can get you a huge stack early. In general Jeff runs pretty hot early but his style allows him to run up a huge stack early.

In part 2, rivermen123 comes onto his table so maybe we will get some interesting hands that are TPE-worthy! The Daily Deepstack bursts the bubble near the end of the tourney and Jeff has a great stack for a deep run.

Member Scores

We had a few great results this week. “Clydesdales” managed to ship the Big $33 on stars for around $6k, which is a super effort. “cdodd910” did one better than that and managed to ship himself a WSOP main event seat in a satellite on Lock! “nickyb”  tested his patience in shipping a $33 deepstack on stars, whilst “fredhand19” finished third in a stars $22 6max 500 cap. Last but not least, “donskey” chopped a $5r on stars as well, so some great scores this week. Hopefully a TPE member can bink something at the world series!

See you at the tables!
