What a week it has been for TPE! One of the newest additions to TPE, Brendon “Brendooor” Rubie has taken down Aussie Millions Event 1 for a cool $200k! Brendon is well known in Australia and has been crushing tournaments in Australia for some time now but this is his biggest score to date. Well done Brendon! Hope you can keep the rungood going for the rest of the Aussie Millions.

Videos

Turning to the action on TPE this week, there are four new high stakes videos from DannyN13 and Daryl “aaaaaaaa” Jace,  so if you play high stakes, or love the in-depth analysis and table dynamics, make sure you check out the videos this week.

Pokerstars Big $162 Final Table Hand History Review with DannyN13 (Parts  3,4 of 5)

Part 3

DannyN13 changes pace and steps away from the turbos to give us a hand history review of his Bigger $162 deep run, and we are treated to two parts, with the finale coming soon. Although he doesn’t get much going early, he works hard at conserving his stack. In part 3, he really starts to build a decent stack, before going on a rollercoaster ride in part 4 on the way to the final table.

Merge 100k Major Win Hand History Review with Daryl “aaaaaaaa” Jace (Parts 1,2 of 6)

Part 1

Part 2

Daryl Jace returns for his second hand history review series, this time of his Merge 100K Major win. If you have seen Daryl’s earlier videos, you will know that he goes into a TON of depth, not only from his own game but also analysing the hands in which he was not involved. If you are like me and you want to get better at picking up reads on players, then this is the video for you. Daryl doesn’t play many big pots in part 1, but within just a few hands he has the whole table characterised. Part 2 is still early stages, but there are some great tips on bet sizing when you have passive players on your left. Towards the end of part 2, Daryl gets a bit short and shows how to manage a shorter stack, especially taking into account the huge edge that he has in the field. A double right near the end of the video leaves him with a great stack to attack the rest of the tourney.

Forum

There has been a huge amount of strategy discussion this week on the forums, one of the most interesting spots was posted by “rivermen123” about a hand where he flops top set and has to deal with a scary board runout.

$11 2k deepstack fishfest on Merge, 200bb deep, I have top set oop vs horrific drooler and hate the stupid river

One of our most discussed strategy threads rears its head again this week, where “badabing78” is faced with an interesting preflop decision with pocket nines after an UTG shove.

99 What Would You Do?

Besides Brendon Rubie’s HUGE score in the Aussie Millions Event 1, the sweat threads were a bit light-on this week.

“Cousteer” managed to final table the big $16.50 and “MakinMovesMitch” went on a bit of heater making three final tables, but unfortunately couldn’t close one out. The big news however was TPE Members “Donskey” and “Mike” winning themselves Aussie Millions Main Event seats in the super satellite on 888. The Aussie Millions Main Event is running as we speak, so good luck to Cousteer and Mike and any other TPE’er playing.

If you want a shoutout for one of your big scores, make sure you start a sweat thread or post a brag! Alternatively you can shoot me a PM.  Hopefully one of us can bink a TCOOP event or run deep in the upcoming Poker Maximus series on Merge.

If you have some poker resolutions for the New Year, or would like to follow the progress of some other members, check out the Poker Goals and Challenges Thread.

Lastly, a great way for the community to contribute to TPE is for us to tell RonFezBuddy and Killingbird what we like the most on the site. It can help them steer the future direction on the site and give us the content we are after, so if there are any videos that are in your opinion “must watch”, make sure you let the guys know here.

What are your must watch videos?

See you at the tables!
