Ben “KidCardiff6″ Warrington SCOOP Live Sweat

Part 5

In part 5, Ben continues with the SCOOP Event 2 High where he is 66/201, and the Sunday Second Chance where he is 20/59, so a couple of really deep runs on the cards. He still has Isildur1 on his right in the SCOOP so he will have a tough time of it. There is a great spot early on in the vid where Ben gets check-raised on an AK9 board and he makes a great read. Ben starts to 3bet and even 5bet pretty wide at this stage in the tourneys, so there is plenty of action even though it is only two tables. The bubble bursts In the SCOOP about halfway through the tournament so he has the opportunity for a huge score. Unfortunately just after the bubble he loses half of his stack in quick time but he still has 60bb so it isn’t panic stations yet. Unfortunately he gets a bit short in the second chance and runs into a pretty standard re-shove spot, all the while waiting with aces when another player has disconnected, and it doesn’t end well. The end of the video is pretty brutal; he loses just about every hand and then loses a flip. Great series in general though.

“Hurricane Jeff” Romano Premiere Series Live Sweat

Part 3

Part 4

In part 3, he still has a lot of things going, including a decent stack in the $30r, and on the direct bubble of the $30 daily deepstack. The bubble burst in the deepstack but unfortunately he couldn’t get much going in the other tourneys initially. There is some interesting satellite strategy too, where Jeff plays a $60 satellite to a $530 monthly superstack and it gets shorthanded there so there are some ICM considerations.

In part 4, he gets heads up in the $60 satellite, so if you are interested in turbo heads up strategy there is some great content here. There is also a great hand where he flops middle pair, but folds to a bet on the flop because there are just so many scary turn cards, which is great reasoning. Meanwhile he has been crushing the daily deepstack and it is final table and he has a huge chip lead, and he goes into heads up play with a 2:1 chip lead. There are some great adjustments that he makes in the heads up match, where he has to start leading more flops he connects with because his opponent isn’t stabbing enough at the pots, and eventually he wins the whole tourney!

TPE Theory: Pre-Flop Play

Part  2

After an awesome part 1 a couple of weeks ago, BourbonFTW is back with part 2 of his theory video. The first topic is preflop sizing in regards to stack sizes, he stoves a hand where he 3bets someone with A9o and they then jam. He then moves on to blind vs blind strategy, 4betting and looking for spots to do it, and lastly some preflop sizing for different stacks.

“duggs” wonders what is the optimal size to be jamming preflop as a squeeze

“FloppedBackdoorTrips” has started a great thread on deepstack limping ranges too, which I think deserves a lot more discussion.

Member Scores

A few great scores this week; “nickyb” had some really great runs. She final tabled the $55 women’s tourney on stars, and also shipped a $33 deepstack! “fredhand19” also made a couple of final tables! Mcgcanwin won the big $2 $1300 4.2k runners. We also had some double final tables, with KB and mark Alioto both on lock 20r final table, for 2nd and 4th respectively, and “boonos” and “mcgcork” both final tabling a $22 deepstack on stars.

“guitey” finally played his iPops main event live, unfortunately he busted 9th for 7k but still a great run!

See you at the tables!
