It's been over 3 .5 years since Tournament Poker Edge launched, and considering how much we've grown—both in terms of content and as a community—it's occurred to us that our old TPE introduction is a tad dated. We'd like to take a few minutes to offer some words on getting started here at TPE.

First of all, welcome! We hope that you'll not only find our content helpful but also that we likely offer the most interactive experience available in terms of the hands-on nature of our staff and how well we listen and react to what you want from a training site.

We know everyone wants to get to the videos, but we suggest first visiting the forum and introducing yourself. Everyone involved with TPE is active in the forums, and we have countless members of the community who post regularly and have really built a solid community that we hope to build on with your help.

In the forums you can meet other people just like you: people passionate about tournament poker who are looking to take their games to the next level. Making connections like this is invaluable in becoming a better player.

You can also use the forums to give us feedback on content and let us know if there are things you think we are missing. Many of our videos have come directly from suggestions and requests in the forum.

There's also an “Ask the Pros” section where you can ask our instructors and staff about more broad topics such as designing your schedule or computer setup.

Once you've made your introduction, it's time to watch some videos! We do our best to cover every concept we can think of to help improve your tournament game.

One of our most popular series is HITTHEPANDA's Bankroll Builders, where he outlines how he crushes the multi-table sit n gos like Poker Stars' turbo 180-mans or Full Tilt's 90-person turbo bounty tournaments.

If it's the early stages you struggle with, you could start with bigdogpckt5s' video or HITHEPANDA's series on the subject.

Perhaps you want to focus on continuation betting, in which case you might want to start with HITHEPANDA's Theory Video on c-betting.

Our Theory Videos start with a very specific concept in MTTs. Then the pro takes ~10-20 hands dealing specifically with that concept and delves into each hand in greater detail than is possible in most other video formats. Another example is Wein's video on bet sizing and building a pot.  A must watch Theory video for all beginners is our MTT Math video

We pride ourselves in being creative and constantly trying to come up with new video formats and new and better ways to instruct. An example of this is the incredibly popular Sticking it to the Man!!! series, where one of the two TPE founders—both amateur players themselves—records themselves playing a session, going through their thought process and asking questions and then handing it off to two of our instructors to dissect and answer questions. Flaming and hilarity accompany a great format that is very useful in helping to plug leaks.

We also have a great catalogue of live sweats—like this one where the big dog hits record and takes us live through his outright win in the AP $75K GTD—as well as full hand history reviews where a pro will take you hand for hand through a deep run. TPE pro Wein has twice final tabled the Poker Stars Sunday Million. Both deep runs are reviewed and available at TPE.

As well as great videos, we also offer some wonderful and insightful articles to help you with things such as dealing with downswings, understanding variance or picking your schedule. In addition to the articles, each pro keeps a blog.

Ultimately, we've worked hard to provide and build the best community for those looking to take the next step in their tournament game and really start crushing.

As mentioned, we are all very active and passionate about TPE, so once on board make sure to say hi. We're excited to have you as part of the team and look forward to meeting you.
