Hey everyone, it’s the week before the WSOP October Nine, so a great time to be working on your game. TPE have also announced that they will be sponsoring October Niner Robert Salaburu, so watch out for the TPE patch on the telecast! TPE has a jam packed line-up this week, with a podcast, article, and video series from DannyN13 and Daryl Jace so plenty to like!

On this episode of the Tournament Poker Edge Podcast, Casey "bigdogpckt5s" Jarzabek and Marc "aznAllin007" Alioto join us to discuss some hands from the recent broadcasts of the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Article – Using the Right SharkScope Data – Even When Players Opt Out

This week’s article comes from MovesLikeDarvin, who shows us how to use SharkScope data correctly, even when players are opting out. This can be great for quick categorisation of players, and I personally use it all the time in combination with colour coding. It can be great to work out what types of players you are up against, especially late in a tournament when a new player gets moved to your table.

WCOOP Deep Run Hand History Review with DannyN13 (Parts 1, 2)

DannyN13 is back and this time he reviews his WCOOP Event 63 Deep run. Early on he is trying to play pretty tight until the antes kick in, avoiding any reverse implied odds scenarios. In the mid stages the main concept is that of pot controlling, and how it applies in great structured tournaments where everyone is really deep

$215 Deep Run Hand History Review with Daryl “aaaaaaaa” Jace (Part 4, 5)

Daryl is getting really deep into the tourney so table dynamics become increasingly important, and Daryl touches on this, including going over some potential light 3bet spots, and the value of blockers in those situations. He also goes over situations with a short (15-20bb) stack, where raising is better than shoving, especially where you might want to call a really short stack but fold to other larger stacks. He also goes over how raising this stack instead of shoving changes the dynamics, both in blind vs. blind and other situations. He also makes a good point about river bet sizing, and how really small bets can sometimes be bad because you talk yourself into calling a raise.

As I mentioned earlier, TPE is sponsoring Robert Salaburu at the final table of the WSOP. So whilst the final table is being played out, TPE will be sweating him in the chat. Check out this thread for all the details.

Next, the TPE Down Under Home game has just finished Cycle IV, so it will kick off again in another couple of weeks. For those that are interested, it is 730pm ACST, which is 9am UTC. For those that are unfamiliar, the goal is to get a TPE member to a large live tournament of their choice, with 50% of themselves, whilst the others have the other 50%. So far we have had a stake in Donskey at the ANZPT Melbourne, and two other members will be playing the Aussie Millions Event 1 in January. We hope to have a few more seasons of the league between now and then though. Check out this thread for details

Lastly, “usedstars” is still cracking along with his greatest movie of all time poll, and is doing an excellent job, so make sure you keep supporting him!

Member Scores

For the member scores this week, it was the Killingbird and Turbulence show! Turbulence took second in a $55r on lock for $1800, two final tables in $22r tournaments, and another in a $162 10k gtd. Killingbird 2nd in $33c for $1k, and another couple of final tables in a $27.50 6max and a $1500 gtd. Just so we know that there are other people in the TPE nation that can actually bink something, Liverpool015 and m@ddm@n made final tables too.

Over on Twitter, there has been a lot of action with people using the #TPEdge hashtag. @geno127 final tabled a $60r 12k gtd, @KeK442 did the same with a $15r on Lock, @VanH3Lzing final tabled the $22 Saturday 6max, and I also managed some rungood when I took down the $55 Twister on 888 for $1150.

If you would like your name to be included, make sure you post in either the sweat or BBV threads, or use the hashtag #TPEdge on Twitter!
