On the video front this week, Matt Hunt continues his latest series and Andrew Brokos wraps up his Warm Up review. I happen to be at the Borgata with Andrew for the Thinking Poker meet up so I have some catching up to do on all the new TPE content. Fortunately, I’ll have a ton of stories to tell on my “goals” post. There were an incredible number of member scores both live and online this week along with a long awaited TPE podcast episode, blog posts, and a new article. Let’s jump right in.

Matthew “theginger45” Hunt Saturday Night Live HH Review

In part 3, Matt is kind of handcuffed with around 20bbs but is able to get it in good and double due to his aggressive image. In part 4, his aggression continued to pay off as he starts with 200bb, yes 200, deep in the tournament approaching the final table. He uses his stack well on the bubble for the remainder of the video.

WCOOP Main Event Warmup Hand History Review with Andrew Brokos

In part 4, Andrew starts with 70bb which is the most chips he has had in the tournament. He finally gets to use some of his deep stack strategies. In part 5, he’s back to around 40bb and right away puts his nitty image to use against an aggro player by floating and raising his barrel with air. Just doesn’t seem fair that he’s able to be disciplined and maniacal at the same damn time. So sick.

KillingBird does a mini interview with new TPE pro Cory Waaland. He talks a little about the difference between live and online tournaments and discusses his recent success on the Heartland Poker Tour. He may be the only player who is 100% honest when he says “good luck all in” since he says it to himself.

Downswings and Plateaus: Sometimes, It Is Your Fault by Matt Hunt

https://www.tournamentpokeredge.com/downswings-and-plateaus-sometimes-it-is-your-fault/

Matt “pitypartypooper45” Hunt is back with another article that I recluctantly needed to read. I too am in the middle of a downswing that I only recently realized has been my fault. I played too high and either too loose or too tight when I should have known better. It cant all be negative variance. If it were, we’d all be winning players that just haven’t been hit with the deck in the right spots yet. Examine your game and adjust accordingly if necessary.

KillingBird and RonFezBuddy are FINALLY back with another episode of the TPE podcast. The guys give us an update on what they have been doing in the decade since the last episode. This is kind of an hybrid of the TPE podcast and TPE Live as Big Dog and TTwist make guest appearances from the WSOP Circuit Event in Gastineau, Quebec in Canada. Both pros made final tables and had a blast at the well run event.
