Hey guys. This week the TPE podcast is back, and if you were wondering what the big dog had in that forum hand from last week, this podcast is a must listen! We also get the conclusion of two different series, the sticking it to the man, and the heads up battle of Mark Alioto’s deep run in the merge 100k. The big dog also makes a departure from the usual videos on TPE and gives us a live sweat of some 6 man super turbo SNGs, which is great for something different. He also gives us a short live sweat of part of his Saturday session.

On this episode of the Tournament Poker Edge Podcast, bigdogpckt5s and aznAllin007 join us to celebrate two years of TPE, discuss life one year after Black Friday and talk MTT strategy. Concepts covered include 3 and 4 betting ranges, deepstack play and ranging opponents.

If you love hearing some in depth strategy talk, then this might be the podcast for you! This week the boys discuss the great hand that the Bigdog posted in the forum last week, and they spend a huge amount of time breaking it down, which is great.

Videos

Sticking it to the Man! RonFezBuddy’s Low Stakes Live Sweat with Dannyn13 and Cougars4444 (Part 7)

Part 7

Part 7 marks the conclusion of this epic stick it to the man series, and ronfezbuddy is deep in a $3r, with 12 people left and with 22 bb, and it isn’t long before the final table starts. There are some interesting spots against a villain who obviously knows the table dynamics and how we can deal with that.

There is an interesting spot where all of the three big stacks are involved in the hand. RFB has 77 and opens, gets a flat out of the sb and then the bb squeezes.

Unfortunately he cops a brutal beat on the final table, but there was plenty of great discussion.

Bigdogpckt5′s Saturday Session Live Sweat

Part 1

in what amounts to a taster of some further Bigdog goodness, Casey gives us a little 1 part session of the early stages of his Saturday afternoon session. He registers into the Big $109, and some big turbo tournaments.  Even though he late-registered into the $55 2x turbo he starts like a house on fire although soon enough the blinds have caught everyone up.  Although it looks like we are set for a nice session of turbo tourneys, unfortunately the big dog’s laptop crashes and we only get the 1 part.

Merge $100k 2nd Place Finish with Marc “aznAllin007″ Alioto (Part 5)

Part 5

After a break in this series of a couple of weeks, Marc  Alioto is back to give us the conclusion of his Merge 100k deep run. This video starts at the beginning of heads up play with nearly 100bb each, and is 54 minutes in length, so if you are looking for some decent analysis of heads up play, this video is for you. There is some great discussion on what to do against a habitual button limper, and also a lot on flop bet sizing.

Bigdogpckt5′s 6-Man Super Turbo SNGs

Part 1

Sometimes there is a silver lining to some misfortune – apparently the bigdog’s computer decided to commit suicide, which meant his live sweat series had to be cut short, but instead we take a slight departure from the MTT vids and are treated to a 6 man super turbo video! This time the big dog is playing some $50 6 man super turbos on Lock. They start off with 1000 in chips and blinds at 50/100 and move extremely fast, but these can be great practice for the late stages of a lot of tournaments, especially turbos.

The last few minutes of the vid prove that even the Bigdog is human and can misread the board sometimes! It is great to see something different on the site once in a while, and personally I really enjoyed this vid.
