Hey guys, this week we have a real mix of content. Ttwist finishes his Micro Madness series, we get a hand history review with Marc “aznAllin007″ Alioto on his Merge 100k 2nd place finish, and we also see the return of Sticking it to the Man – this time it is low stakes live sweat from RonFezbuddy, with help from DannyN13 and Courgars4444. The other major news of the week was that TPE member “nocturnal1” made a MASSIVE run to finish second in the Poker Maximus Main Event for nearly 40k!

Micro Madness with ttwist (Part 4 of 4)

Part 4

This week ttwist brings us the conclusion of his micro-stakes sweat. He is still deep in the Lock $5 1k gtd, the Stars $2.20r 1.5k, and the Big $3.30, and he is deep in all of them. There is a really nice spot where ttwist 4bet bluffs and it is a perfect spot given the dynamics. Unfortunately a sick 2 outer cripples ttwist in one of the tourneys and then a stop and go does not come off, so it is down to 2 tables relatively early.  It is down to final 2 tables in the lock tourney though, so a really deep run is on the cards, but as always in the micro stakes, it is about dodging the landmines in the way. No recording karma in force here, some brutal beats and unfortunately an early finish to what could have been some super deep runs.

Merge $100k 2nd Place Finish with Marc “aznAllin007″ Alioto (Parts 1, 2 of 3)

Part 1

Part 2

This week Marc “aznAllin007″ Alioto returns with his Merge 100k run, where he finishes second. Early on, Marc concentrates on trying to get max value from his big hands, but otherwise plays pretty tight. This video is slightly different to others in that the hole cards are exposed from the start. This allows for a different type of discussion, which is interesting.  There are some great tips on bet sizing when deep in the early stages. This is almost a bonus sticking it to the man, as Marc is sticking it to himself most of the time! After building his stack nicely a cooler puts him right back down to 10bb, but a double right near the end of part one gives him some breathing room.

In part 2, Marc grinds his 15-30bb stack, before winning a couple of key hands. It is really entertaining to see Marc comment on his own plays, whether they are good or bad! The tourney gets to the late stages really quickly, that’s where Marc goes on a little heater. The video ends on the final table bubble.

Sticking it to the Man! RonFezBuddy’s Low Stakes Live Sweat with Dannyn13 and Cougars4444 (Part 1)

Part 1

It’s been a while, but sticking to the man is back! This time it is a live sweat, with RonFezBuddy 4 tabling, and DannyN13 and Courgars4444 are providing the commentary. There is some really interesting discussion early on where RFB isolates a limper in the early stages with KJo. In general RFB plays pretty tight in the early stages, but there are still some really interesting spots.

Member Scores

As mentioned in the intro, I think we have had our biggest ever online member score this week, with “nocturnal1” taking second in the Poker Maximus Main Event! Mmfitter also finished 4th in event 39 for 2k, and earned his 100k badge on pocket 5s, and i3betshove final tabled 9 events for the series!!! Certainly a top effort and a great way for TPE to finish off it’s crushing of the whole series! There have been lots of other significant scores this week too, nearly too many to mention. “just2sick” jumps into the forum with some great results right off the bat, with a bunch of deep runs this week totalling four figures. Houndboy also chopped the Big $33 for 4k, Moizt has been on a heater with three final tables in micro tourneys., “Psellos” finished 4th in a $11 3k gtd on stars, “switelex” has repeat final tabled the $5r on Lock, and “insidiously” made his obligatory final table.

That’s it from me this week, congratulations to everyone that has made some big scores recently!

See you at the tables!
